Error Code is back!

The micromusic scene, already popular in cities such as New York, London, Milano and Moscow, is coming to Athens and at K44

Once again, after Synch Festival 2008, the K44 bar is being taken over by the 8-bit monsters and their Gameboys.

On Friday 24^th of October, three artists from New York, Milano and Larisa, are coming to K44 with suitcases full of Gameboys and dancing beats!

Error Code and K44, present on Friday 24^th of October:

Bubblyfish ( NY/Japan),
Tony Light (Milano)
and new Greek super talent Sally Zero.

With a background in classical piano, Haeyoung Kim explores the texture of sounds in electronic music. Currently, she lives in New York and under the name bubblyfish, she has been creating 8-bit and experimental sound works with her gameboy.

Tonylight lives and works in Milano. As a musician, he likes to explore new sounds and experimenting, thus he soon was fascinated by the 8bit music scene and became one of the first artists to join the micromusic community. He creates music using his Gameboy and other old consoles and computers.

Sally Zero, was born and lives in Larisa. He started exploring music by playing bass at various groups, but soon started experimenting with new sounds. One day he dug out his old Gameboy and started creating amazing 8-bit tunes.

Error Code started out as a three day exhibition-event at K44, during the Synch Festival 2008.

With the valuable help of our friends at Amigahellas and Greek Retro Maniax, the Error Code became a reality and hosted a large scale exhibition of vintage retro computers and gaming consoles, from the 8bit and 16bit era.

At the same time, at K44 bar, Synch festival and Error Code presented the culture of retro video games and contemporary chiptune music, through video projections of tv commercials, documentaries, amiga demos and other related material, as well as through a micromusic live performance with game boys by Tony Light, and dj sets by Tech0.
